REDENZIONE

REDENZIONE is a sidescroller graphic adventure with completely original graphics. It tells the story of Troy, who after his death in unclear circumstances tries to recover his lost memory in order to understand the mistakes he made in life and redeem himself, thanks to the help of his guardian angel and his inner demon, who will guide him through a dark and distorted world where anything is possible.

CHARACTERS
TROY PHE'NIX: (33 y.o) A tall, thin man. He has long, unkempt hair, an unkempt goatee and a mole on his left cheekbone. He always wears his work clothes because he spends all day working and doesn't have much time for anything else. He always has a cigarette between his lips, to which he is obsessed and addicted. He has two friends, the only ones, Clementine and Kenny, two colleagues of work. They go every evening in a bar after work to have a few beers and chat. Troy works at the same bar on weekends to earn some extra cash.

INTERIOR DEMON: Simply called the Guide, his aim is to make the Troy's deepest and darkest desire become true.

CUSTODIAN ANGEL: Simply called the Guardian, he is the protagonist's protector, the one who will lead him towards the path of Redemption.

CLEMENTINE LEE: (26 y.o) She is a girl with a young spirit, sometimes naive. She has Japanese origins, born in Osaka and then moved there as a child. She is very attached to the traditions of her people.

KENNY BATCH: (43 y.o) He works as a cleaner in the office. He's a guy who doesn't think about the consequences of his actions. If he wants something, he takes it.

MARIE PHE'NIX: (72 y.o) She is Troy's loving and calm mother, she loves to listen to jazz music and read thrillers while sitting in the armchair near the fireplace. She has serious illnesses that force her to stay at home all the time.


PLOT
REDENZIONE tells the story of Troy, a man in his thirties, who finds himself in a distorted and surreal world after his death, with no memory of his past life. It is here, in this dark world, that he meets two strange creatures, respectively his guardian angel and his inner demon. The two are tasked with leading him out of that world, ensuring that during the journey Troy can redeem all that he has done wrong in his life and if he fails, lead him to eternal damnation. Troy, on this journey to heaven or hell, will try to make amends for his mistakes, hoping to discover the reason for his death.


GAMEPLAY AND MECHANICS
The gameplay is mainly based on solving puzzles and riddles, solving situations, finding keys and opening doors. The keys can then be equipped to increase the player's positive parameters (willpower and confidence) or the negative ones (fear and depression). In any case, a maximum of 4 keys can be placed on Troy's keychain necklace, so the player must choose during the game which keys to keep and which to discard from the 20 possible keys that can be found. Due to the fact that the game would be too simple if one could keep all the keys in the inventory, in each section the player can only keep a total of 4 keys between the ones equipped and those in the inventory.
